Reinholt's 'archetypal barn' concept for his studio is influenced by practicality and truth to materials. The build places heavy emphasis on the maker's mark of distinct, high quality craftsmanship. In similar fashion, furniture produced by Trent Jensen Studio are famed for its distinguished artisanship and masterful juxtaposition of opposing materiality. In light of this, my stair and workshop design for Trent Jensen Studio aims to reflect the client's ethos. This is achieved by the careful selection of classic contrasting materials, to be enhanced by the thoughtful layout and intricate construction.
